On February 28th, the Crystal Springs Partnership hosted a volunteer planting day for a restoration project funded by City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services. We developed a revegetation plan for a recently restored section of Crystal Springs on 1/3 acre in Sellwood, Portland. This project follows culvert replacements at the north and south margins of the property (SE Tenino St. and Umatilla St.) with objectives to shade the stream and enhance the floodplain and upland habitat. Tasks included plant list development considering existing species, plant procurement, as well as preparation and plant placement for the work day.
